ICT SMEs in East Africa

According to a December 2010 infoDev report, “the primary challenges facing ICT SMEs as they attempt to launch and grow may vary significantly depending on the country in which the entrepreneur may be located.”
While challenges of each country are unique, the general hurdle preventing ICT uptake among small and medium enterprises is the lack of business networks and facilities. The following chart is one of the more interesting visuals included in the report:
