African IXPs see 20-50% annual traffic increase
Traffic graphs from major IXPs in South Africa, Kenya, and Egypt are showing substantial growth in bandwidth carried.
Updated list of African IXPs – 22 countries
Internet exchange points (IXPs) continue to make local delivery more efficient. Kenya’s recently saw 1 Gbps. Although few IXPs have been created in the past year, plans are still in place for more.
