Gallery: Google Doodles for Africa

April 25, 2012  »  UncategorizedNo Comment

Over the years, Google has created over 1,000 or custom search homepage logos for both its US and international search domains. The illustrations have been come to be known as Google Doodles. Many of these (27 to be exact) have been featured on African Google pages – usually for nations where Google has a physical office. Often, a Google Doodle commemorates a national independence day or national elections, but sporting events often necessitate a special image too. Either way, the extra effort on Google’s part shows genuine commitment to social good.

Our favorites are the Ghana Independence Day 2012 and the Senegal Independence day 2011.
