Recently, officials from private schools  in Uganda were trained on ICT in Kampala. A report from NTV Uganda underlines the need for government to emphasis ICT skills training. Points include:

• Uganda has the 2nd youngest population in the world after Niger – almost 50% under age 15
• Research shows correlation between broadband and GDP (it is really to be seen if this statement is 100% accurate)
• India and Israel are nations that develop products and exports (suggesting that Uganda should strive to do the same)
